Poshek Fu is Professor of History at the University of Illinois. He is the author of Between Shanghai and Hong Kong: The Politics of Chinese Cinemas and Passivity, Resistance, and Collaboration: Intellectual Choices in Occupied Shanghai. His edited book, China Forever: The Shaw Brothers and Diasporic Cinema, will be published later this year by the University of Illinois Press and Hong Kong University Press.
