Jacqueline Levitin is a filmmaker and former professor in the School for the Contemporary Arts and the Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies departments at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. As a historian-critic, she has focused on women filmmakers, genre film, and national schools of filmmaking. Recent publications have been on Jean-Luc Godard and Agnès Varda.
Jacqueline’s films and videos range from short experimental works to a feature mixing documentary and fiction, and includes live video collaborations with dancers and theatre performers. Her current project incorporates new media to create a website focusing on the Israel-Palestine situation.
