Paromita Vohra is a filmmaker, writer and founder of the groundbreaking Agents of Ishq, a digital project about sex, desire and love in India. Her work focuses on feminism, desire, urban life and popular culture.
Her films, noted for their uniquely playful essay style, include the documentaries Unlimited Girls, Q2P, Morality TV and the Loving Jehad: A Thrilling Tale, Partners in Crime and Where’s Sandra?, several short film musicals such as The Amorous Adventures of Shakku and Megha in the Valley of Consent and the prime time documentary TV series Connected Hum Tum. She is the writer of the film Khamosh Pani (Silent Waters), the comic Priya’s Mirror, the play Ishqiya Dharavi Ishtyle and several documentaries. Her fiction and non-fiction have been widely published and she has written a popular weekly newspaper column Paronormal Activity since 2010.
